What is my community's web address, and can I change it?

Your community got a web address automatically. It works today, and it's the only thing anyone needs in order to find you.

Looking at this screen changes nothing. Your free address never goes away — even with your own domain attached, it stays on the list as a way back.
You don't need to buy a domain Every community gets a working address automatically, so everything on this page is optional. It's about turning an address you already have into one you prefer.

  1. Open Community, then Settings

    Under Public address sits the link, with Copy link, Open and Change domain beside it. Press Open once before you send it to anybody: it shows exactly what a visitor sees.

  2. Press Change domain to see the list

    Pick a domain from the list and your community moves to it straight away, nothing else to set up.

  3. Register a free .coach or .expert address

    Add a new domain opens Domains. Press Search Available Domains for a premium .coach, .expert or .consulting address, free with your account. Connecting one you own is about five minutes of DNS setup.

You will know it worked when you know where your address lives, and that a .coach, .expert or .consulting name is yours for the asking.

Can I check comments before they go up?

Turn on comment approval and every member comment waits for you. It's a separate switch from the one for posts.

Can I message one member privately, and can members message each other?

Message one member from Community, then Members. Their reply comes back to that screen, not your email. Members messaging each other is a separate setting.

Can I read what members post before it goes up?

Yes — one setting. Off, member posts appear at once. On, nothing appears until you've read it. The waiting ones don't sit in the Feed.
