How do I get members into my community?

Two ways in. Invite a few people by email from the Members screen. For a roomful, send your community link instead.

Updated 15 September 2026

Nobody arrives by accident — everyone needs your invitation email or your community link. The directory shows everybody who is in, however they arrived.
  1. Open Community, then Members

Two things live here. Messages on top, where replies from members land. The directory underneath: everybody who's in, one row each.

  2. Press Invite, beside the member count

Not at the top of the page — that's why people tell us there's no Invite button. It opens a plain box drawn by your browser, not by us. Type their email, press OK. That's it sent.

Invite is beside the count, not at the top of the page.

  3. Watch for them in the directory

They get a link that signs them in — no password, for you or them. Not visited yet means they were invited and haven't been in. Those are the people worth a nudge.

  4. Message, suspend or remove anyone

Message starts a private conversation, and their reply comes back to the Messages panel above. Suspend and Remove sit behind the Manage menu, for the day you need them.

You will know it worked when they appear in the directory with the date they joined, and the Members count goes up by one.

Can I check comments before they go up?

Turn on comment approval and every member comment waits for you. It's a separate switch from the one for posts.

Can I message one member privately, and can members message each other?

Message one member from Community, then Members. Their reply comes back to that screen, not your email. Members messaging each other is a separate setting.

Can I read what members post before it goes up?

Yes — one setting. Off, member posts appear at once. On, nothing appears until you've read it. The waiting ones don't sit in the Feed.
